⚡ Capacitance diminished

Capacitance diminished

The error "Capacitance Diminished" or "CAPACITANCE CHANGE" or "CAPACITANCE LOST" means that the height sensor does not see metal under the nozzle.

Causes by frequency

0) At machine startup, sensor didn't detect metal and went into error;
1) Rusty metal (iron oxide works worse with inductance);
2) Ceramic ring broken;
3) Coaxial cable doesn't transmit information from sensors to signal amplifier;
4) Data cable from amplifier to control board rubbed through;
5) Ceramic ring installed incorrectly, contacts on ring and nozzle assembly don't match;
6) Contact on nozzle assembly sinks in.

SOLUTIONS
(follow the order until the error is eliminated)

1) Ensure ceramic ring integrity and correct installation;
IF BROKEN, REPLACE;

2) Ensure that the gold contact in the nozzle assembly does not "sink" inside;
IF SINKING, NEED NEW NOZZLE ASSEMBLY;

3) ❗Perform full height sensor calibration cycle (button below takes you to video)❗;

4) Replace coaxial cable from nozzle assembly to signal amplifier;

5) Check data cable integrity from amplifier to control board, test wires with multimeter;
IF FAULTY, REPLACE.
